Erin Toews

Founder of Juniper & Oakes, Erin Toews is a passionate crochet designer, community-builder, and mosaic crochet niche-est who believes that yarn can weave beauty, comfort, and connection into our lives. She’s taught thousands of crocheters around the world how to master mosaic techniques through engaging patterns, CALs, and video tutorials.

Erin created the Mosaic Crochet Summit to help adventurous crocheters unlock the full potential of mosaic stitches—from basics to bold design. When she’s not crocheting, you’ll find her wrangling her three young kids, hiking the Smoky Mountains, or sipping hot (or sweet, depending on the season) tea with a hook in hand.

Ashley Parker is a crochet designer, author, educator, and founder of The Loopy Lamb (theloopylamb.com). With more than 200 published crochet patterns and a passion for crochet education, she specializes in creating clear, accessible resources that help crocheters learn new skills with confidence.
Ashley is the author of Crochet Furry Friends, co-author of Teaching Crochet, and author of an upcoming overlay mosaic crochet stitch dictionary scheduled for release in Spring 2027. Her work has been featured by Simply Crochet, Crochet Foundry, Business Insider, Better Homes & Gardens, Southern Living, and other publications.

Known for her approachable teaching style and step-by-step instruction, Ashley helps crocheters build confidence as they learn new skills and techniques.

I am a former civil engineer who brings both the creative side and analytical side of my brain to create fun, alternative, non-traditional mosaic crochet patterns! I created my first mosaic crochet project in 2021 and it immediately became my favorite technique. I love bringing my favorite designs to life in yarn!

I have three grown sons and two perfect grandbabies that keep me busy. I have been lucky enough to design mosaic crochet patterns full time for the past three years!

Beyond One Color: Exploring Multicolor Rows in Overlay Mosaic Crochet

I’ve always been a creative type, and when I discover a new hobby, I tend to fall down the rabbit hole completely. After returning to crochet in 2018, I quickly fell in love with overlay mosaic crochet. And when I couldn’t find patterns that my active imagination came up with, that’s when I learned how to design them myself!

Along the way, I found myself wanting to push beyond the traditional two-color approach. Many of the designs I imagined needed a little extra pop, whether through additional colors woven into a row or the occasional special stitch. Those experiments eventually evolved into the whimsical, colorful style that has become my signature. I love sharing these techniques with fellow crocheters who enjoy a creative challenge and a touch of magic in their projects!

I’m Hortense, a passionate knitter, crocheter and hoarder of yarn.

My mom taught me the basics of knitting when I was young. I took those basic skills and added to them over the years thanks to blogs like mine and the wonderful community of online knitters and crocheters.
Knitting with Chopsticks was created as a way to give back to that community and share my easy knitting and crochet patterns with beginners everywhere who want to take the next step.

My goal is to break down knitting and crochet patterns so they’re simple enough for you to create exactly what YOU want, the way YOU want it.

Mary Beth Temple is a well-known crafting educator, author, and designer, renowned for her expertise in garment construction, whether that garment is sewn, crocheted or knitted. With a passion for craft that spans decades, she is the author of more than 15 instructional books, most recently The Starter Guide to Tunisian Crochet.
Mary Beth’s years as a union tailor in the NYC entertainment industry gave her an appreciation for garments that are comfortable and well-fitted in addition to looking fabulous. Her cosplays have won several awards at smaller comic cons.

Hi! My name is Nafisa and I am the founder and creator of Meraki by Hand. Through this, I celebrate handmade craftsmanship and aims to preserve and continue traditional maker techniques that embody passion, heritage, and hand work.

The word “Meraki” (Greek for “to do something with soul, creativity, or love”) is at the heart of all my projects — from technique tutorials and workshops to finished products. The idea is to ensure that the craft and its explorations never end. This is my way of spreading my knowledge forward and creating a community for other makers.
